I can’t believe it has taken me so long to even look at these photos, they were taken back in July! This campground is super special to me. Each year 2 glorious weeks are spent swimming, sun bathing, seeing some amazing people and having lots of laughs together. Each year spent here means more and more to me. These photos make me so happy, these memories I never want to forget. To our beautiful friends that camp with us each year, to the ones that come visit while we are there, I truly treasure every moment together, your families mean so much to ours. From the “candy store” to the beach here or even the parks, it’s wonderful. The kids have filled my heart so full of amazing memories and smiles forever frozen in my head.
They say “Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory”, and that is true for these images. Every detail in them makes me smile. From the skinned knees to the multiple donut floaties. The heavy smoke in the background from all the fires raging across BC this summer. The bubbles and sidewalk chalk. The row of glorious beach chairs (and after many many years of envy, I finally got an incredible chair of my own!!!!). All of it. Even my baby is in diapers in these, taken just a couple months ago, and now he is no longer wearing them :O( But each one makes me smile. I miss this place when I am not there and every time I drive by on the highway I always smile to myself. I hope these annual trips continue for my whole life.
